In talk psychotherapy you tell your story to someone who, with wisdom and a compassionate ear, can help you sort things out. You identify old beliefs, feelings and behaviors that are not working for you. Once you see these old patterns more clearly, it is easier to stop yourself from repeating them. You are more awake and conscious. You then can decide what new beliefs, feelings and behaviors you would like to replace them with, ones that feel more in alignment with who you really are and how you really want to be in the world.
